Update

It's been way too long since I updated our blog. Not too much has happened though. Our little boy is now 7 months old and keeps us busy. We have taken lots of pictures of him, which I should have put on here, but haven't had the time. Holland doesn't like when I am on the computer, so I have a hard time finding time to get on here.

Holland is doing well, and proving to be quite a handful. He is constantly wanting to be entertained and gets bored with things easily. He is rolling all over the place and will find a way to get to wherever or whatever he wants. He is really close to crawling, but I'm a little nervous about what that will bring. He loves being held all the time. He is very vocal and will let you know if he is happy, sad, or mad. He likes to watch TV, and really enjoys the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He loves music! Especially Lady Gaga, we just have to put "Marry the Night" or "You and I" on and he stops crying. We have to listen to her songs a lot in the car.

Last month we introduced rice cereal to him and he was not a fan.

Before

After

After trying rice cereal several times and him throwing it up, I decided to try vegetables instead. He is liking his food a lot and wants me to shovel it in as fast as I can, and if I go too slow he yells.

Holland also really likes his bath time. He gets excited when he hears the water filling up the tub and can't wait for us to get him undressed. He is always very happy in the tub.

Last month Curt got a new job. He still works for the same company, AtTask, but is no longer a financial analyst. He is now the Senior Operations Analyst. I am not sure what it all entails, something with analyzing the operations, haha! He still works with numbers, graphs, charts, excel, etc. He is really enjoying it, especially when they have meetings on the golf course.

I am staying busy being a mom and everything that goes with that. The days seem to fly by. I have really been enjoying the nice weather. Holland and I go on lots of walks. Life is good and we feel extremely blessed.

Happy New Year 2012

We decided to go to temple square and see the lights on New Year's Eve. It was really cold, but pretty. We thought we would go to the visitors center to get warm for a little while because we were worried about Holland. He didn't last too long in there though and started crying pretty hard. Then we took him back outside so he could see the lights and he was happy again. He sure loves lights.

Christmas 2011

Christmas was so much fun this year! We had a lot of family parties and ate lots of good food. Having Holland with us this year was exciting. Even though he didn't realize what was really going on, it was still fun to open gifts with him. Curt, of course, spoiled me. He is way too good to me. We were blessed to have such a great Christmas.

We also ended up taking these super cute pictures of Santa Holland. :)

Halloween 2011

Halloween this year was a lot of fun. I ended up going back to my old work and showing off the baby. He was a super cute little skeleton.

We then went to Curt's work. His department dressed up as angry birds.

It was fun having Holland with us and showing him off to everyone. We are looking forward to future Halloweens as a family.

Blessing Day

Yesterday was Holland's blessing day. We had our families come to share this amazing experience. I was really nervous about feeding Holland and getting to church on time, but it all worked out and he was such a good boy. While I was sitting waiting for Curt to come get Holland to bless him, I couldn't believe that this moment had already come. Our baby is already a month old, and I can't believe how fast the time goes. I handed him to Curt and watched as all the men I love in my life got in a circle to give my little boy a blessing. Curt gave a beautiful blessing, and it was such a spiritual experience. I felt extremely blessed.

After church we had a little luncheon and took some pictures. I absolutely love my family!
