Christmas 2011

Christmas was so much fun this year! We had a lot of family parties and ate lots of good food. Having Holland with us this year was exciting. Even though he didn't realize what was really going on, it was still fun to open gifts with him. Curt, of course, spoiled me. He is way too good to me. We were blessed to have such a great Christmas.

Halloween 2011

Halloween this year was a lot of fun. I ended up going back to my old work and showing off the baby. He was a super cute little skeleton.

We then went to Curt's work. His department dressed up as angry birds.

It was fun having Holland with us and showing him off to everyone. We are looking forward to future Halloweens as a family.

Blessing Day

Yesterday was Holland's blessing day. We had our families come to share this amazing experience. I was really nervous about feeding Holland and getting to church on time, but it all worked out and he was such a good boy. While I was sitting waiting for Curt to come get Holland to bless him, I couldn't believe that this moment had already come. Our baby is already a month old, and I can't believe how fast the time goes. I handed him to Curt and watched as all the men I love in my life got in a circle to give my little boy a blessing. Curt gave a beautiful blessing, and it was such a spiritual experience. I felt extremely blessed.

After church we had a little luncheon and took some pictures. I absolutely love my family!

Holland's Newborn Pictures

When Holland was 4 days old, my sister-in-law Destiny was nice enough to come and take pictures of him. They turned out really good. Below are some of my favorites.

My Birthday

My birthday was last Saturday and it was a nice relaxing day. I got to hang out with my two favorite boys for the first part of the day. We just snuggled in bed and watched tv, which was exactly what I wanted.

Then we went down to Payson and had dinner with my family. My mom made me lots of amazing food. Yes, I wanted food for my birthday gift. :)

I am now 25 and a mom. I feel like such a grown up all the sudden. :)

Our Cute Boy

Today is my original due date and I am so glad that Holland decided to come early. The last week and a half has been amazing and exhausting, but I LOVE having my little boy here. So far he has been a really good baby. I think Curt and I are spoiling him too much, which might come back to bite us, but we can't help it.

We take lots of pictures of him, but unfortunately he looks pretty different in photos than he does in real life. It seems like we have to take ten pictures to find one that looks the most like him. I know everyone says this, but he really is a lot cuter in person. Here are some of the latest pics.

Holland William Hommes

Holland William Hommes came to us on September 21st. He came 9 days early and we are glad he did. Below is the story.

3:15am - I woke up with intense contractions and started timing them.

3:45am - My contractions were 5 minutes apart, so I woke up Curt. Together we continued to track the contractions for the next hour.

4:45am - Curt makes fun of me because I want to make the bed before we go to the hospital. He said it was picture worthy.

4:50am - We grab the hospital bag and drive to the hospital.

5:00am - We arrive at the hospital. Since I was dilated to a 6 they said we were there to stay.

6:00am - In pain but was able to handle it. I was now a 7 and headed into transition.

7:15am - After pushing and pushing, finally Holland was born.

7 lbs. 8 oz. - 20 inches long.

We are so happy Holland is here and that he is healthy. This was an amazing experience. Birth was extremely painful, but I am glad I was able to do it naturally. I feel like I had a good labor and am very grateful. We still can't believe our little boy is here and so cute!

Maternity Photo Shoot

About 2 weeks ago my sister-in-law Destiny took some maternity pictures for me. I love how they turned out. It was a lot of fun and nice to take time to enjoy being pregnant. See lots of pictures below.
