Last Saturday, Curt and I went to the USA Soccer Game and it was a blast! We had so much fun! Our throats were sore from screaming at the top of our lungs. This was a World Cup qualifier game and we played against El Salvador. There were so many El Salvador fans it was crazy. Curt and I tried to make sure they knew that US was better and that we were going to WIN! And win is exactly what we did! The game ended 2 to 1 with the sweet smell of victory.Soccer is finally starting to get some recognition in the US and it is about time we catch up with the rest of the world. I don't think Americans understand just how popular soccer is for every other country. Hopefully some day, and some day soon, we will all know what this world sport is all about. GO USA!

You Probably Didn't Know...
I have thought of a few things that you probably didn't know about Curt and I. You might know one or two but I think they aren't well known. Let's see how you do.
1. We make Margaritas a lot - almost everyday (alcohol free of course!) - lately we have been rotating in snow cones but that is more of a summer thing, where margaritas are year round.
2. We love to read. We read every chance we get and wish we had more free time to do so.
3. We are clean and organized people. I know you probably already know this one, but I don't think you have any idea how much time I spend cleaning and how much time Curt spends organizing and re-organizing.
4. We are always working on a project. Before we finish one, we are already thinking what the next project will be.
5. We enjoy taking walks together and talking. When the weather is nice we try and go every night after dinner.
6. We love the magic bullet. We use it almost everyday and it is amazing! If you don't have one you need to buy one.
7. We don't like brownies, cakes, or cookies. They are just not our kind of desserts.
8. We don't eat the red Starbursts. When we buy a bag of Starbursts there is only the red ones left at the end and we end up just throwing it away.
9. We are a living musical. We break out into song frequently. One person will start to sing their response and the other will just join in. It is really fun, you should try it.
10. We dance to the sound of our margarita/snow-cone maker while it is crushing the ice. It's true. It has a really good beat!
Well, those are just a few things about us that you might not have known. We have a blast together and are always laughing. We really think we could have our own reality TV show - minus our boring work days - then people could see how we really are together. We are funny/OCD/random people and feel we were meant to be - like two carrots in a pod! - as we like to say. Hopefully, you don't think less of us now... :)

Happy Birthday Curt!
Today Curt turned the big 25! I absolutely love celebrating his birthday! As I have mentioned before, I have a really hard time not buying him presents and going all out. This year was no exception. The Il Divo concert was amazing, like I said below, and I think he enjoyed the gifts I got him (even though I spent more money on him then just the concert tickets, woops J). Anyway, I thought I would post a few things to help you get to know Curt a little better.
1. He loves soccer, and I mean looovvves soccer. He watches it every second he can (we pay a little extra a month to get the soccer channels). As soon as he gets home from work or school he puts one of his many soccer jerseys on. He also kicks the soccer ball around the house.
2. He really likes ice. If you ever give him a glass of ice water, he will always return it to you completely empty. Also, when we stay at hotels he likes to go the ice machine and fill up the ice bucket and just munch on ice.
3. He doesn’t like to eat breakfast. I really don’t understand how someone could not like eating breakfast, but whatever. I have to make him eat every morning. We both eat breakfast at work and I always have to make sure he really eats it. He is getting a lot better at it though, probably because he knows it makes me happy when he eats breakfast.
4. He loves to read, but he only reads gospel and finance books. He is pretty hard to budge on this one. I have tried to expand his horizons and tried to tell him that there is good fiction or historical fiction books out there, but to no success. It is not that he thinks it is bad to read other kinds of books, but he just doesn’t enjoy them unless they are about his two favorite subjects.
5. He loves the show Biggest Loser and gets teary eyed every episode. He thinks it is great how they are changing their lives.
6. He likes romantic comedies (and/or chick flicks) and dramas when it comes to movies. It can’t be too girly or cheesy though, otherwise it is too much for him. I love this about him because we never have to do the comprising thing where if he watches a romantic comedy with me then I have to watch an action movie with him. It is so nice to have the same taste in movies.
7. He loves eating vegetables. It really is one of the only things he loves to eat. He is not a big food person, which is crazy to me, but if you put a veggie tray in front of him it will be gone in 2 seconds.
8. He is amazing at waterskiing. He goes about 34 mph on the water and it is pretty cool to watch. He does switchbacks across the water so fast and is so comfortable on the water.
9. He loves to organize…and reorganize. He was excited to organize everything in our house and find the exact right spot for everything. Then he starts looking for things he can reorganize. He has already reorganized 3 areas in our home and we have only lived there for about 2 months.
10. He doesn’t like really long blog posts. So I better end this now J.
Well, I know this was long but I love talking/writing about my sweet husband. I could go on forever because there is obviously a lot more to know about him. I think even his family would be surprised of the Curt that I know and adore. We have so much fun together and he always makes me laugh. I am really looking forward to all the many birthdays we will celebrate together.
Happy Birthday Curt! I hope you have an amazing day. I love you!

An Evening With Il Divo
In a previous post I mentioned that I got Il Divo concert tickets for Curt's early birthday present. We went on June 5th and it was incredible! I still can't get over how AMAZING they are! Curt was in heaven while we were there and was glad I got him the tickets. It is really fun liking a group so much together and we have been listening to them non-stop since the concert. Il Divo is always on in our house and we love it. I have posted some pics below, but they are not the best quality because I took them with my iPhone. We both want to go to their concert again, and they are performing in cities that are not too far from here - so we will see! We love Il Divo!
