A Minor Problem

So, we have a problem. We can't seem to stop buying stuff for the baby. We would much rather buy him something then us something. Since Curt and I are big planners, we have had the nursery finished for a while and lots of baby needs purchased. Therefore, now we just see cute things here and there and want to buy them.

Oh, and for some reason Curt and I really like giraffes. We saw these cute pajamas, towel, and stuffed giraffe toy and had to get them.

Then Curt saw this cute soccer ball toy and couldn't not buy it.

Then Borders is going out of business so everything is on sale, so I had to get some books.

Then we found this cute stuffed giraffe that is a music box too, and had to have it.

Needless to say, this boy is already spoiled.

We are so excited for him to come. Only 6 more weeks! Crazy!

Dinner Party

Back in July, Curt and I were invited to a little dinner party with some friends in our community. I finally got some pictures so I could blog about it. The pictures don't show how pretty it all was. We wanted it to be a nice dinner, so we had real table cloths, real plates and silverware, real flowers on the table, and white lights hanging above the tables. Me and a few of the girls stayed up late cutting out the tissue balls to hang from the lights to give it a finished look. There was lots of good food, delicious mocktails, and fun games.

Curt and I had a great time and love that we have such amazing neighbors. Me and the girls are hoping to have another dinner party in the near future. We will see if the guys will go for it again. :)

My Pie

Last week my ward had a relief society activity and we learned how to make homemade pies. I had never done it before and was a little nervous. I came home and cooked it so Curt could try it. I obviously couldn't eat it, but Curt said it was really good. I was very proud of my pie making skills.

I haven't done an updated pregnancy picture in a while, so here I am at 28 weeks.

Happy Birthday Curt!

Today is Curt's birthday and he is now 27 years old. Usually I like to go all out on birthdays, but again, with Baby Hommes on the way things are already changing.

Every year Curt asks me not to do anything big and for the first time I listened to him. So I finally gave him the gift he has been wanting the last 6 years. :)

We decided to celebrate his birthday on Saturday since we both work. I thought that we could at least go shopping and get him a few things, but after going to several stores he couldn't find anything he liked or wanted. Finally, he asked if we could just get him a box of See's chocolate, so that's what he got. (An upside to that is I get to enjoy in that gift as well :) ). After shopping we went out to eat at California Pizza Kitchen and enjoyed a good meal there. I tried asking him what else we could go do or get him, but he was set on not doing anything else. Though he did request raspberries and cream for tonight, and this morning I did stop and get him some breakfast at Einstein Bagels. So pretty much he has only gotten food as his presents. I don't think he minded though.

Happy Birthday Curt! I love you!

5 Years

This month we celebrated our 5 year anniversary. I don't know where the time has gone, but it has been an amazing 5 years together. We usually do a big trip to celebrate our anniversary, but with Baby Hommes on the way it just wasn't in the plans to fly half way around the world. So this year we did a mini vacation and headed down to Las Vegas.

We went and saw David Copperfield and it was a lot of fun. Curt got to be a part of the show, and he was pretty excited about it.

We also went and saw The Lion King. It was soooo good! The music and costumes were amazing.

We did a lot of shopping for our baby boy while we were down there. I was going to post a picture of all the clothes we bought for him, but it's kind of embarrassing. Curt and I already love spoiling him, which is not a good sign since he is not even born yet. Oh, well!

We also went to an all you can eat seafood buffet at The Rio. Curt loves seafood, so I wanted to make sure we went somewhere fun to eat on the night of our anniversary. He prepped me before we went that he would eat a lot, but I don't know if I fully understood what was about to happen. Six plates later, I knew we had gotten our moneys worth. Four of those six plates were filled high with crab legs. Even the people at the next table over from us made a comment when he came back with his 5th plate which was full of crab. I was glad that he enjoyed it so much though.

We had a great trip. It was nice to get away and enjoy spending time together.

Exciting Week

Here is another pregnancy pic of me at 20 weeks. We finally had our first ultrasound and it was amazing! I was in heaven watching our baby on the screen. It was moving all over the place, yawning, putting its hands in its mouth, and playing with the umbilical cord. The ultrasound tech said our baby had quite a personality. It was a great experience and we are so excited!

Oh, and I am assuming you want to know the gender. Well, I think the picture below say it all. :)

It's a boy!

Oh Baby

It's true! Baby Hommes is on it's way.

I am 4 months along (even though I look farther along than that). Our baby is due September 30th and we are so excited!

Also, last weekend we got together with my family. My mom is pretty excited about my baby bump and wanted to take lots of pictures, but I tried to limit them.
