Breakdown

So, as you may have noticed, I now have a blog list of different "breakdown" blogs. Curt and I thought it would be fun to do blogs about our hobbies. There might be more "breakdown" blogs to come, but for now this is more than enough to keep us busy.

Curt loves finance and loves to help people, so he decided to do a finance blog. He will be posting advice and tips to help with your finances. He is really smart, so check it out!

I love reading and listening to music, so I decided to do an online book club and a music blog. I have been reading a lot lately and always wish I had someone to discuss the book with, and thought a blog would be fun. You should check out my first book and let me know what you think. I will be doing books from all different genres, so if one is not your style then look again the next month because it will likely be something totally different. I am so excited about my music blog. I have so many songs I want to share with people that are not on the radio constantly. Like my book blog, I will be posting a lot of different song styles.

Hopefully you will like our other fun blogs! Let us know what you think!

Halloween 2009

Well I am finally posting pics from Halloween. I have been so busy lately, it has been hard to keep up with blogging. Anyway, we had a great Halloween and it was a lot of fun. At Curt's work, the finance department decided to dress up as an 80's rock band. We got him a tight black shirt and a blond mullet, and he looked awesome. I decided to try and match him, so I was his 80's rock groupie. We unfortunately forgot to take pics of us dressed up, but below are two pics that our works took of us. I am sad you can't see my awesome leg warmers though.

On Halloween day we went to Thanksgiving Point to have fun at Cornbelly's, and it was a blast! I think we were the only ones there without kids, so we just acted like kids ourselves! We took lots of pictures and had so much fun. We think we are going to make this a Halloween tradition.

Birthday Celebrations

My birthday this year was wonderful! It was on a Thursday and so we had a birthday weekend. After I got done with work, Curt took me to Chef's Table and it was so delicious! Everyone should go there, and you need to get their creme brulee (or however you spell it) - so good. Then we went and saw a play at Hale Theatre and had a great time. On Friday I went bowling with my family and had a lot of fun. We then went to my brother's house to have cake and ice cream.

I told my parents how good Chef's Table was so they wanted to take Curt and I out to dinner there again on Saturday night. They were not disappointed! I also went shopping on Saturday and got some much needed clothing. Overall, it was a really great birthday weekend! I love my husband for making sure it was a birthday to remember.

PS. Halloween pics to come.

Happy Birthday Love!

Blogging is not really my thing. In fact, this is the first time I've ever written anything on this blog. Yet, I want to let you all know that Larissa's birthday is today and she has turned an astonishing 23 years old. Although I will strive to give her gifts she will enjoy, nothing will ever match the gift she has given me of being the greatest wife out there. I am crazy in love with you Larissa, and just wanted to say Happy Birthday.

Love, Curt

Baby News

Baby news... for the Utah Hogle Zoo of course! Curt and I went to the Zoo on Saturday and it was so fun! Neither of us could remember the last time we went and thought it would be a fun thing to do. There were so many baby animals there and they were really cute.

This is us standing in front of a elephant. The person who took the picture didn't happen to get it all in, so it looks like we are standing in front of some random thing.

How cute is the baby elephant? We took way too many pictures of Zuri, but she was so fun to watch. She really liked that red ball.

This is Curt with the baby giraffe. It just sat there the whole time, so not too exciting.

This tiger was HUGE! The pictures don't do him justice. I could not believe how big his head was, and his paws were literally the size of my head. I had never been so close to a tiger before and it felt cool. I was glad there was glass there though. :)

He had just got done doing a lot of roaring and I think he got tuckered out. How cute is his face? We took pictures of the baby tigers but they didn't turn out as well.

If you look closely you can see the sloth in the tree. We didn't just really like this tree or anything.

After the Zoo we stopped by the "This Is The Place Monument", and it was really cool. I had never been before and it was a great experience. It was a neat to know that Brigham Young and the pioneers stood in the same spot so many years ago, and realized that this was the place the Lord wanted them to be.

GOAL!

Last Saturday, Curt and I went to the USA Soccer Game and it was a blast! We had so much fun! Our throats were sore from screaming at the top of our lungs. This was a World Cup qualifier game and we played against El Salvador. There were so many El Salvador fans it was crazy. Curt and I tried to make sure they knew that US was better and that we were going to WIN! And win is exactly what we did! The game ended 2 to 1 with the sweet smell of victory.

Soccer is finally starting to get some recognition in the US and it is about time we catch up with the rest of the world. I don't think Americans understand just how popular soccer is for every other country. Hopefully some day, and some day soon, we will all know what this world sport is all about. GO USA!

You Probably Didn't Know...

I have thought of a few things that you probably didn't know about Curt and I. You might know one or two but I think they aren't well known. Let's see how you do.

1. We make Margaritas a lot - almost everyday (alcohol free of course!) - lately we have been rotating in snow cones but that is more of a summer thing, where margaritas are year round.

2. We love to read. We read every chance we get and wish we had more free time to do so.

3. We are clean and organized people. I know you probably already know this one, but I don't think you have any idea how much time I spend cleaning and how much time Curt spends organizing and re-organizing.

4. We are always working on a project. Before we finish one, we are already thinking what the next project will be.

5. We enjoy taking walks together and talking. When the weather is nice we try and go every night after dinner.

6. We love the magic bullet. We use it almost everyday and it is amazing! If you don't have one you need to buy one.

7. We don't like brownies, cakes, or cookies. They are just not our kind of desserts.

8. We don't eat the red Starbursts. When we buy a bag of Starbursts there is only the red ones left at the end and we end up just throwing it away.

9. We are a living musical. We break out into song frequently. One person will start to sing their response and the other will just join in. It is really fun, you should try it.

10. We dance to the sound of our margarita/snow-cone maker while it is crushing the ice. It's true. It has a really good beat!

Well, those are just a few things about us that you might not have known. We have a blast together and are always laughing. We really think we could have our own reality TV show - minus our boring work days - then people could see how we really are together. We are funny/OCD/random people and feel we were meant to be - like two carrots in a pod! - as we like to say. Hopefully, you don't think less of us now... :)
